(Currently Employed) I oversee the engineering department in the design of bleacher seating, benches, picnic tables, and other aluminum scaffolding and spectator seating products. I’m involved in entire sales and production process, from initial product sketches and sales drawings to fabrication cut sheets and detailed instruction drawings, as well as fabricator, customer and installer support to resolve design and deadline issues.

My key objectives are designing spectator seating structures using a variety of standard company design concepts, standard building code compliances, accessibility compliance or creating custom projects to meet the individual and unique needs of architects, distributors, or customers. In addition to overseeing these aspects of engineering, I also work to alter existing designs and materials to simplify fabrication, installation, or lower production or inventory costs.

Interpersonal communication is imperative for the success of this position, as I’m often discussing designs with the sales department, customers, and others in the engineering department, assisting the shipping and fabrication department with questions or concerns, and providing support for installers as issues arise.
